November 2007 Prayer Letter
Dear Friends,
It has been my habit over the past few years to ask periodically if all of those who are currently receiving my prayer letters want to continue receiving them. Well, I think that most of the people on my list now are folks that have been there for some time and I'm fairly confident want to remain. Rather than ask you again if you want to remain on the receiving list, I want to ask you a favor.
I would like for each person who reads this letter to let me know they have read it. Even a two-word email saying "read it" will suffice if you like. I'm really curious to know who all actually reads these each month. Don't worry, I know things slip through the cracks, so if you don't get around to emailing I won't be upset and I won't scratch you from my receiving list.
I'm also curious if you have suggestions on how I might better communicate through these letters. Over the years I've sort of taken the approach that more often is better. I've been very consistent about writing each month even if the letter is short. But I've also toyed with the idea of writing every other month. My hope would be that I could take time and make that every-other-month letter a bit more directed and substantial. My fear is that I would still end up waiting until the last minute like I always do. What do you think? Is it important to you that I write each month or would every other month be just as helpful?
A few more questions for those willing to write a bit longer email: What have you most enjoyed in my past letters? What things have I written that helped you to pray and to understand better what is happening here in Galati? What things have I written that have not been necessarily helpful? What are the things I haven't mentioned that you're curious about? Do you believe that you are connected to the work happening here? Do you feel connected to the children?
I could go on, but you get the idea. Please feel free to add any other thoughts you might have and to answer questions I didn't even think to ask. I look forward to hearing from you during the next month. And, as always, thank you for your continuing support and encouragement.
Love,
Paul

(Note to those emailing for the first time: Don't forget that little period between my first and last name. Your email most likely will not get to me without it!)
