April 2007 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends,

I hope that this letter finds you well and preparing to celebrate Easter.  We're getting ready here, as well.  As in years past we will be celebrating together with our now very large community.  All told, the children, the workers, the volunteers, and others that will hopefully come together on Easter Sunday will number close to one hundred.  Please pray that our time together will bring glory to Jesus.  Pray that He will be lifted up in the life of each person that comes to celebrate the day.

Later this month, we will be going on our annual staff retreat.  We will be gone from the 21st to the 28th of April, traveling to a retreat center in the mountains of Central Romania.  Our desire is for this to be a time of rest and renewal, but also a time of going deeper in our relationships with each other.  We will be spending lots of time worshiping together and praying together.  We will also be spending a lot of time in reflection and, afterward, in discussion.  And, of course, we will have plenty of free time to play together.  Please pray that the Lord will lead us during this week together.  Pray that He will give us ears to hear His voice and that He will soften our hearts to beat in rhythm with His.

We will also have a steady stream of visitors over the next few months.  I think we have at least one group of visitors constantly from mid-March until mid-June.  We love having people come to be with us and the visitors that will be coming are all people we know well and love.  Without listing out all of the groups and dates, I would just ask that you pray for our times with them.  Pray that each visitor will be blessed during their time here with us.  Pray that they will fall deeper in love with the children and the boys living on the streets.  Pray that we will have wisdom in knowing how to best serve each of our friends as they pass through.

Thank you, as always, for your faithfulness.  Thank you for taking the time to read these letters and, especially, for the time you spend in prayer on our behalf.  Your faithful prayers sustain us in a very real way.  I pray that the peace of Christ will be upon each one of you today and in the coming days, as well, as we approach the day of celebrating His amazing resurrection.  Come on; say it with me – "He is risen!"

Love,
Paul
