Word Made Flesh Romania is composed of Christians from various local churches, different cultures and nationalities, who have responded to God’s call to serve Jesus among the poorest of the poor.

The Triune God is community and created us after His likeness for community. Jesus and His disciples modeled community for us in and through their ministry. Through the Holy Spirit each member is gifted to serve for the sake of the whole.

In community we desire that God be seen through our love for one another. Though our weaknesses are painfully visible, we are constantly aware of our solidarity with the broken and marginalized among whom we minister. Serving among the poor implies building community with the poor. The poor, therefore, are central to our community. This implies a reciprocity in which we not only teach but also are taught, not only guide abut also are guided, and not only love but also let ourselves be loved.
